Our Mission



Throughout the world, Operation Smile volunteers repair childhood facial deformities while building public and private partnerships that advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for children and families. Together, we create smiles, change lives, heal humanity.

About Us



Operation Smile Peru and World Vision Peru worked collaboratively to conduct a local mission in Trujillo. By working together, they provided life-changing surgery to 43 children, adolescents, and adults with cleft lips and cleft palates. The joint venture was so successful that both organizations have decided to pursue the partnership for future endeavors. Operation Smile Peru has developed an innovative program called “Results Day” where those families who were not selected for surgery during a mission are counseled individually and given information from the team psychologist, speech therapist, nutritionist, and dentist about how to deal with their condition until they are eligible for surgery.
